FrCharles Okeke updated his status: "Lauds (Almost all fled the Adoration/Benediction) At the Ador...

Surprising how so many cut off the light that gives them life.

They pray for God to quench their lonely hearts;
Then when God sends folks to them to uncover the bushel basket they have placed over their own life cutting themselves off from love...

Instead of receiving my husband and I into their hearts as friends they attack us with jealous hateful acts...
Like trying to drive over us in Church parking lots from North Carolina to Minnesota to Louisiana..

Some even with grocery carriage while food shopping.

And if instead of dividing us with their cart...they smiled introducing themselves from a couple of feet away...
The way it was one natural for all to do without even contemplating ow to...

Today folks try to "force a meeting" with those they would like to be friends with...
But love & friendship are not friendship nor love if forced...
But coercion!

Love must be freely given with kind words tat the receive can receive with joy and return kindness joyfully...
Without fear nor oppression.

So let us not cut ourselves off from the source of light & life Himself, nor from the gifts HE tries to send each within HIS chosen disciples HE sends to each each day but some refuse to open their heart's door!

FrCharles Okeke updated his status: "Lauds (Almost all fled the Adoration/Benediction) At the Adoration/Benediction that followed the the Vigil Mass of the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God (New Year Eve), Matthew 26: 40 kept coming to mind: "When he (Jesus) returned to his disciples he found them asleep. He said to Peter, "So you could not keep watch with me for one hour?" At the Exposition of the Holy Eucharist, almost the entire congregation literally ran for the exit as if fleeing from the Lord. Of over 300 people that attended the vigil mass, just about fifteen remained for the Benediction. So sad. But despite such glitch, the Church is set to bloom in the years to come and is bound to be victorious in the end. May the Lord bless and keep us; may the Lord let His face shine upon us and be gracious to us; may the Lord look kindly upon us and give us peace in the year to come. Here's wishing all my facebook friends a blessed New Year."
